'TOKIARI' is a collection that, like this poem, uses black and white to symbolize contrasting events. We hope you will walk through the joys and sorrows of your life accompanied by these clothes. With this wish in mind, we are creating 'TOKIARI'.

私たちの服作りにおける創造的な姿勢は、既存の形から脱構築し、磨き上げて普遍的な服を作り出すことです。
時代に流されず、時に在る衣服、タイムレス・クローゼット。この服と共に、人生の悲喜交々の瞬間を歩んでほしいと願いながら制作しています。

DESIGNER
Kenichi Nakamura中村 憲一
Born in 1970 in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, Kenichi Nakamura grew up surrounded by the sea and nature. Having nearly lost his life at birth, he was drawn from an early age to Buddhism and the unseen forces of the world. Encounters with travel, religion, and art eventually led him to the realm of clothing.
After training at an import boutique in Morioka, he opened his first shop in 1998, evolving from children's wear to vintage, domestic, and finally, imported collections. He was among the first to introduce brands like JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE and ZIGGY CHEN to Japan.
Through his journeys across Europe and China, he deepened his sensitivity to material, form, and spirit. In 2020, he relocated to Kyoto, and in 2022 founded TOKIARI, a design studio devoted to the concept of the “Timeless Closet”—clothing that resides quietly within time.
Alongside his accessory line RITSUDO, Nakamura continues to create quiet pieces and objects, shaped by rhythm, light, and unseen prayer.
1970年、岩手県宮古市生まれ。自然と海に囲まれ育ち、生まれたとき一度この世を去りかけた経験から、幼少期より仏教や“目に見えないもの”に惹かれてきた。旅、宗教、美術との出会いを通じて服の世界へ。
盛岡のインポートショップで経験を積み、1998年に子ども服店を開業し、古着、ドメスティック、やがてインポートへと軸を移し、JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHEやZIGGY CHENを日本に初めて紹介した。
欧州・中国を巡って感性を深める。2020年に京都へ移住、2022年に独立し「時在服飾設計（TOKIARI）」を設立。
時に在る衣服「タイムレス・クローゼット」を理念に、アクセサリーライン「律動」とともに創作を続けている。
